Hoosier Cupboard

Hoosier cabinets were popular from the late 1800s to the early 1900’s because most houses at that time did not have built in kitchen cabinets. The best known builder was the Hoosier Manufacturing Company in Indiana; by 1920 they had sold 2 million of them. This particular style of cabinet became generally known as Hoosier cabinets, even though there were other manufacturers who also built and sold many of them. The one below was built by Honderich’s in Milverton.
